Are we idealizing reality? Has technology forced us to become watchers and observers of experience, rather than participate in it? I think it’s a fascinating notion, and relates well to the current technology trends, and not just that in libraries. Computers are handheld and have us connected, but maybe it’s wise to become unconnected every once and awhile before we stop using our own memory.
